Falco’s Titan Form: Foreshadowing and Surprises in Attack on Titan

Now, let’s talk about Falco, the titan with the most on-the-nose transformation ever. The guy turns into a Falcon because, drumroll, his name is Falco. Genius, right? I bet Isayama was patting himself on the back for that one.

But honestly, if you rewatch, it was so freaking obvious.

Yams is like the master of foreshadowing that’s right in your face, but you’re too busy focusing on something else to see it.

Falco’s name, the fact that his titan looks like a bird, and don’t even get me started on his first scene. It’s like those moments where you just say, “Damn, I need to focus more.” No kidding.

And let’s not forget Eren, the king of low-key foreshadowing.

Remember when he dressed up as an injured veteran?

His first scene in the show is him reaching out towards a bird, telling it to fly away.

Then he starts talking about how he thought he was flying (with swords, but still). It was right there in front of us the whole time.

Isayama pulled the same trick with the basement reveal.

It’s like, “Oh, here are a few books and the idea that there are humans outside the walls.” Nothing groundbreaking, right? But somehow, when Hange reads that caption of the photograph, it feels like the world just flipped upside down.

And let’s not skip Reiner and Annie looking exactly like their titans.

Sure, Annie’s the first titan shifter reveal where they resemble their titan, so you give it a pass.

But even after that, it still hits you like a ton of bricks when you realize Reiner is the Armored Titan.

Six episodes of him acting sus with Bertolt, and we’re still surprised.

Now, Falco’s titan seems quite large. I wonder how he’d fare against the Colossal.

Maybe he has a serious strength disadvantage with those flimsy wings.

I mean, the Colossal would probably swat him away like a fly.

But man, I really wish we got to see this titan throw down.

Any guesses on Falco’s size in this form?

I’m thinking Beast Titan size, similar to Zeke or a bit smaller, but way weaker.

He doesn’t seem built for fighting like his Jaw Titan form.

Colossal would probably give him a one-swipe knockout.
